Yeah, it was apparently his feet coming unclipped during a sprint that caused him to crash.
Won that race, but DNF'd the rest of the sprints because he was too tore up.

I saw something similar at a velodrome race. I felt bad for the kid, he was pumping so hard and pulling away fast when the feet popped loose and the front wheel went wonky and down he went in a tangle of bike and rider all well lubricated by road rash.
