Did I see a traditional fork on a Scalpel?

I passed a guy this morning in traffic that had a sweet team replica Scalpel on his roof rack... but I swear that the thing had a fork on it rather then the Lefty.

Is this possible or does Cannondale make some secret bike with the Scalpel frame?

my first yr scalpel 2000 had an Ultra fork. the bike could also have had headset reducers for other fork.
