...are ok. Fire was near the new downhill but since I don't know exactly where the trail starts, I can't comment. The fire mostly was south of the crossover road between Mt. Charleston and Lee Canyon, a couple miles from the Charleston side. I also saw a burnt section on the west side of the Charleston road a few miles before the connector road. But I was just driving through.
I rode bristlecone today. All is well and nice and quiet. I think I seen a few hikers along the way. There is still a hint of smoke that you can smell on occasion and thats about it. Of course on the way back I forgot to take the cut across but I think everything is okay. I know the initial reports of 1200-1500 acres burned was way of the mark,
