Because I found this on MBAction's website, I like to think this is a responsible effort aimed at preserving the access we currently have for trails in the wilderness. It's a very short, non-invasive signup petition.

to me this thing where the "no mechanized transport" rule of the Wilderness Designation Act applying to bikes seems a little broken.
shouldn't it also apply to horses if it applies to bikes since the environmental impact is similar (if not greater) from a horse?

any experts on federal environmental law here?
