I was wondering if any one had any experience with this shoe in cold wet weather?

My lbs is having a sale on the Chili Zeros ($120). I was looking for a winter shoe and did not want to spend $200 for a shoe I will not use too often. I live in the northeast and the weather does get cold and wet here. My feet get cold easily, and though the general consent seems to rest on Lake Mxz300, I have not been able to find them in my size cheap (44). Any infor is greatly appreciated.

Someone mentioned they should have a winter forum on mtbr. Indeed they should, at least during the winter time!!!!!

searching using the keywords "Answer Kashmir". I gave a quick rundown on all the info regarding most of the winter shoes out there. The reason why the Lake's are the "seemingly" dominant shoe it's because they're the only ones that really seem truly "winterized". They have the nice insulaiton that the others out there simply don't have except for maybe the Gaerne Polar Competiion shoe. Temp wise Lakes good for the real low temps....20's to low teens. The other for high 20's upto 50. The biggest question I asked myself when looking at all the winter shoes out there was "Ok, so if my bike broke down in the middle of nowhere, in the process of hiking out, would my shoes keep my feet dry AND warm in the snow?" Look at a good pair of waterproof hiking boots or ones you actually own and like for the snow/winter weather. How do the Chili's compare to you?
