I found a couple of groups on the intersurfs that are dedicated to DH-oriented trail advocacy, and I want to share with you, the reader. If you know of any other groups out there doing this sort of thing, post 'em up here or PM me and I'll put it in this post so it's at the top! IMBA is a great resource, as well as local land managers and such, but as downhilll and freeride riding spots are continually shut down we need more people from our community to get invloved in the "correct channels" to help further the gravity cause.

Colorado Downhhill Cycling Collective

The Association for Mountain Biking Preservation (SoCal)

Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC)

Could this warrant a sticky? Does MTBR have stickies? It could be a very good thread if treated right!

I've been doing a lot of work here in MN, I am in at two(hopefully a third soon) ski resorts, and am always lookin' for help, I build to IMBA specs on all the trails I am involved with, and just became a board member on the states largest cycling club to push for more aggresive trail design(DH/FR/DJ/DS). I have projects all over the state, so where ever you are in Minnesota shoot me a PM or post up on and I'll get ya involved some how!

Here's on that someone posted over at Ridemonkey:

SoFA (SORBA Freeride Alliance)

Thanks everyone, keep 'em coming! And of course we all know about IMBA, I was hoping this thread would bring out the smaller groups that are focused on DH-oriented trail advocacy. IMBA is great and they do SO much good, but their efforts are extremely widespread, plus they work with local crews and groups like the ones we're trying to get in this thread.

And a big THANK YOU to the mod that sticky'd my thread! Like I said before, I hope this can be a good resource for folks! Although, now that it's sticky, I can't add links to my original post, so I'll add new links to this post here.

Sure thing Evan, it was definitely an excellent idea for a thread. I wish I knew more sources to cite in here but the ones I know of are already listed. :)
