Thanks for that. I called and they were closed, but I found it funny how they had an option, Press 2 (or some number) if you are a customer. Then, there is a message that says they don't talk to customers directly and I have to go through a retailer.

Before you responded, I did chose a retailer at random, called and asked how I could get the geometry sheet for a Moonracer. Apparently, they'll have to go through their rep to get the geometry.

Kinda crazy. Maybe with the new 2009 stuff they haven't had time to put it on the site yet.

Oh well.

How did you get that? They have geometry for older Moonracers on the archive section...is the picture you posted of the newer Moonracer geo? I have searched for hours (yes, hours) on their site looking for that.

Big thanks!

EDIT: Okay, the link you posted is 2008, I just realized that. I'm assuming then, no real geometry changes have been made since then. Thanks for your help.

It has changed a tiny bit, some of it seems to involve the sizing too. I’ve got the 09 catalogue so if you’ve got any other questions…

Thanks for the pic!

The SL4 went from 80mm to 100mm SID. Noteable differences are in the HTs: 120mm on the Medium 09 vs 140mm on the 08. Minor differences in WB and SOH.

I'm currently looking at picking-up a new 08 Moonracer SL4, Medium, that my LBS still has kicking-around. Any feedback on the Moonracers?

Your welcome, hope it helps get you your answers. It sure does seem strange though that Devinci doesn't seem to want any direct contact with existing customers or even potential customers. Does anyone know if this is the norm in the biking industry or is it just Devinci?

I called Devinci a while back and found them to be very helpful. Living in the US where Devinci no longer sells bike I'm glad they are willing to sell me a drop out.

I can't recall another bike company or industry group I had this much trouble contacting.
So, I guess it is Devinci.

They probably figure most questions can be answered at a dealer, so why sift through 100's of silly e-mails asking what fork comes on what bike, or which bike would be better for them, etc.

But, the bike shop wasn't able to answer my questions. You guys were able to!

I want a Moonracer.

The 4 SL has the many of the components I would put on my bike anyway (whatever I end up with) so it's good I won't have to swap out everything...it is pricey, but I think it'll be worth it.

Thanks again everybody for your help!

Revolution in BC was great in getting some info I was curious about...just posting if anyone else needs the info.

"The info on the shock is:

Eye to eye: 152mm
Stroke: 32mm
Shock width: 56mm top and 25,4mm bottom
Rear travel: 75mm

Devinci didn't have the answer for the leverage ratio and the Moonracer SL 4 was to be
built next week but they have not yet received the crank and Race Face aren't sure when
they will ship them."

I'm still thinking this will be my next bike. I want to try something different.

I was just checking the site, and they finally fixed / updated the Moonracer page.
Geometry is there... http://www.devinci.com/11003_fr.html
Geometry appears to be identical to the image above with the only difference being HT length.
I want a Moonracer! I just need to figure out the money situation!
