they (devils head) will not let us cut a new run where we wanted to so we will be using the same area as last year. i am not sure how much of the course will be the same, won't know until we get there (we have a few ideas but until i am there won't know if they will work or not) i am planing on trying a different ending since that is where people seemed to either hate it or love it (depends on if they could carry any speed through it)

the trails at devils head are open for riding including the dh, but they do not do any trail maintenance (wors did go through and clear the deadfall on the x/c course last week). i believe you need to buy a trail pass and would have to hike-a-bike if you were to go there to ride the dh. keep in mind the dh course will not be started until july 22nd and i don't know when it will be finished, it depends on how many people show up to work.

chip

glad to hear you guys are coming up.
there is camping available at devils head. it is in a field on the left side of the road just before you pull off into the parking lot. i do not know how much it cost or what their rules are as far as noise goes. devils head does put up a pretty sweet deal on lodging for the race, i'll let you know when it is available. they also have pretty reasonable prices for food in the resort, and also a bar.
