Dent in my 2004 Stumpy

My daughter (by accident) knocked over my Stumpy. It only fell on its side, but left a good sized dent on the side of the top tube. It doesn't look cracked, and but I can fit a dime on its side(flat ways) on the dent. Has anyone dented there bike, and how safe can this be?

It is really hard to judge without pics.

Good thing you didn't have a carbon frame. Then it is all over.
