I has it. I rode 3 miles going South on the Rock Creek trail, when planning to go North. Only realized what I was doing when I saw the signs telling me I was approaching the DC line... In my defense, it has to be one of the worst marked trails ever. There are a ton of side paths that look like they could just as well be the continuation of the trail. And there are a couple of parks it crosses where things get REALLY confusing.
What saved the day was the large group of deer congregating on the side of a meadow late at dusk, 7 or 8 superb male specimens among them.
Anyway, watch your markers and maps, and get a bike GPS. Or, keep your brain active so you don't start getting lost and forgetting where you are like I apparently do. Off to buy diapers...

I had that problem yesterday at lake fairfax. Kept going right when the singletrack went left. Kept pulling the front end up when I needed to pump down. I thinks I's broken??
