I'm looking for a new bike, My current bike is a giant yukon se, and I'm quickly learning how to beat the snot out of it, So I want something that will hold for a couple years. Currently I can only swing about $1000. Most of my riding is on logging roads and etc. I want to get into a lot more of single track riding, but for now I'm just glad to be on the bike. My dilema is, do I buy a F600 or do I go FS and try the Jeckyll or do I hold out until I can afford a Prophet?

Hold out

Generally speaking, unless you find an exceptional deal, $1,500 is about the low water mark for a worthy FS (especially if you flog your bike as you say you do). Otherwise, you'll likely be looking to upgrade things and it will be considerably more expensive.
