Part number: 979-70-000
Short ID: D7J4
Description: 2021, FLOAT X2, F-S, K, 2pos-Adj, Ibis, Ripmo, 210, 55, 0.3 Spacer x1, CL001, ECR012, Rezi CM, Neutral, Neutral Logo

I see CM and CL001, so is that Compression Medium (CM) and whats the CL001?

Rezi CM?

No specific Rebound tune I see.

Trying to figure out what the stock tune was on this shock.

It's off a Ripmo. Is it going on one again? If not, you may have a fun time revalving it. Not a home job at all.

Rezi is the lockout tune. ECR012 is your rebound tune. Looks to be a little lighter than a medium tune. The Fox site has all this info with drawings of the tunes.

Cool, thanks. I see that now in the parts list. Looks like REZI has to do with the shock body size...
Yep, its from a RipMo and will go back onto a Ripmo. Just wanted to understand the tune more.

IIRC CM on the HSC adjuster is a preloaded stack with a ring shim.
is there any information regarding the HSC Adjuster at all? CM referrs imho to the compression side on the main piston, not the hsc adjuster.

as
The base-valve tunes seem to not be in most codes. Still working that out.
mentioned, the base valve tune seems to be always the same, it has only one (or two with the fixed hsc version) part number and no further details on it:

Rezi CM is the Compression stack on the HSC base valve.

CL001 is the compression stack on the main piston. ECR012 is the rebound stack on the main piston.

The factory X2 and DHX2 have at least 2 base valve tunes that I am aware of, CM and BV3 and I have those 2 tunes documented. It is not something Fox have published.

ah, ok, thanks. So the "firm mode" is always CM according to
815-02-184-KIT.jpg

and the "rezi ..." is for the hsc basevalve. Overall: makes things pretty easy to choose the right tune for some aftermarket shock suiting your frame. Not. How many combinations of rebound, compression and base-valve tunes are available?

That is not referenced in the tune code though as they are all the same if you have the 2pos switch.

The BV3 and CM are as they are on the HSC adjuster.
