I'm moving from Orlando FL to Edenton, NC- not far from the east coast- VA appears to be 1.5hrs away...maybe closer. It seems very flat there, but was wondering if there were any decent trails for biking within say 1.5hrs?

There is some stuff in Richmond that I know of. I want to say there is a yearly race down in the Tidewater area. Sorry I'm not much help.

The trails in the Williamsburg area would be a shorter drive than the Richmond trails, but you will still be driving for more than 2 hours.

Go to the North Carolina trail review section and check each trail and determine it's proximity to where you live. Hopefully you can find something closer than the Tidewater Trails in Virginia.

tidewater challenge

The race you heard about is called the Tidewater Mountainbike Challenge. It is usually held in late October and is a blast. Worth coming for. It is held on an excellent trail that is only one once a year for this race.
