Decent mudguards?

1175 Views 9 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Mulcher
I purchased a pair of Planet Bike Cascadia Fenders for the Karate Monkey. I didn't get on too well with 'em, so have decided to get something easy to bung on, i.e. Crudcatcher type mudguards.

Can anyone recommend mudguards (either front/rear) with fairly good protection for 29er bikes?

Thanks.

Funny, but true.
I'm running a Sette Slik with some custom cold forging on the bracket.

Aahh...those are the exact fenders the OP said he has and not not work for him
He's riding a Karate Monkey! I'm riding a Monocog 29er doy you think they won't do the job? Haven't bought anything yet, but that seems to be the only choice at the present time.
Buy two T.H.E. rear seatpost mount fenders, and one front. Then get about 10 zip ties, and PM me.

Yeah, the mudguards keep the crap off your back & face really well. I found they work best if you're riding on a road. Whereas riding on a dirt track, they would wobble around too much & don't seem to do well when an object gets chucked into the guards. Just my opinion though.
