I've been working on this since early spring and it's finally finished and ready for the trail. I tried to keep the bike mid to late nineties but added some favorites. Many parts were NOS, waiting for a frame, which happened to be NOS too.

Rims: Sun CR17A w/TCC brake surface
Hubs: White Industries Tracker
Quick: Release: DKG Ti
Tires: F Kenda Blue Groove 2.35/ R Kenda Nevegal 2.10
Crank: Race Face turbine LP
Rings: Shimano XT 8
Chain: Sram PC68
Rear Cogs: Shimano M900 XTR
Bottom Bracket: Shimano UN91 XTR
Front Derailleur: Shimano M900 XTR w/ ti bolts
Rear Derailleur: Shimano M900 XTR w/ Ti bolts
Shifters: Suntour XC Pro 8 speed w/Ti bolts
Handlebars: LP Composites XC Riser
Grips: ODI Lock Ons
Stem: Race Face System 120mm w/Ti bolts

real nice rig.

i rode one of those for a couple of years mine was the first year without the polished finish and without the snakestays.. no complaints at all. love the water jet rear drop outs.

That's a bike I've been humming and haaahing about in terms of putting it on my 'want' list. This just adds fuel to the fire. Bugger! It would complement my two Diamond Back Axis (steel) bikes nicely. I recall test riding the 1995 version of this, which I think had the matt (or satin) titanium finish and it was a rocket. I think it retailed at AU$4K or 4.5K at the time. We definitely need a ride report and ride photos on this one.

& this thread has been dead for 3 & 1/2 years, so why dig it up to at 5/8 of "F" all?

You're right. the frame was a 95. More than likely, I was typing through beer goggles when I did the OP. I loved that frame and beat the snot out of it, but it had to go to make room for another. I even got back what I paid for it.

Yep, nice bike indeed. Pretty interesting frame with the s-bend seatstays but the chainstays look straight in the pics above. Wonder why they didn't just go with s-bend on both the seatstays and the chainstays or just straight for both?
