But, hopefully no one is seriously injured or any one's property damaged.

And I was thinking there must be some schweet singletrack in them thar hills.
Only problem is they be on Private Property, and the land owner has asked mountain bikers to stay off...... I think FATRAC was in contact with the land owners to see if an agreement could be reached, but it doesn't look good. There will most likely be houses.

I grew up rafting the American. I always found it weird that they could turn a river off at night...

Hey what's the politics of the trails up around Rattlesnake Bar? Years ago, like in the early days of mtbing, the horse folks were getting grumpy with bikes. Haven't been there since. Still ridable?

Technically, illegal...

from just below the dam over look in Auburn to Folsom lake. Sometimes I ride it at night when there is a REAL small chance of equestrians, or in the early early am.

On another note, over on the North Fork looks like multiple groups have access to the land between Salmon Falls bridge and Coloma so hopefully soon it'll get past the bureacratic stage and trails can start to be put in. :)

Made the paper the other day and FATRAC was out getting $$$ donated to the cause, I believe they call themselves the American River Conservancy. They have all the land they need and will be turning it over to the BLM. THAT's the rub, the BLM still has to establish a use policy for that land. The Conservancy will urge the BLM to make a mutli-use trail, and FATRAC will of course volunteer time and labor, but there is no gurantee that we will get to legally use this trail.
