total gimmick.

no one is gonna want to ride a bike that sucks all sorts of watts from you
just to get it moving forward. like having constant brake drag only worse

to this day still no one can make a bike more efficient than chain and cog.
belts are close but nothing yet beats chain and cog (except direct drive like
a boneshaker)

so yeah with all that fancy shumutz....it's a (would be a) neat toy but

a) no one gonna want to actually ride one beyond curiosity

b) yet another failed kickstarter

c) oi, is this an e-bike ?

d) see item (b)

there is no bike, no facebook page (abandoned) only one hacked up mockup
for pictures, web site hype, no updates lately....garbage

lol

Gimick to me. I can't think of very many advantages to the hubless design and plenty of advantages of conventional wheels. What kind of gearing do you need to run, I think that design results in really low gearing so you'll need a huge effective front gear. Convetional wheels are a marvel of balance and design.

Bad case of form over function (form follows function is an architecture/industrial design principle where the form is defined mostly by the function of the object). Expanding the bearings so far out will just add weight and friction with no benefit I can see beyond "it looks cool". Likewise, the handle bars look cool but would function poorly.
