This light, with the same pictures, has been available for about a year now. Seems like its called the Cyclopic 115.
Just a variant of a magicshine but using the Osram. Its really big and made in Guangdong China.
Now are those pictures of the "masters" helmet and bike or are those Chinese as well?
Did the"master" personally design this light? If so why wait a year to bring it to our attention?
Under $400. I can buy it for around $140 on the linked site.:madmax:
Hope the light works well for you and that you didn't overpay for it.

Sorry if I sound harsh. I am cool with cheap Chinese lights, but I just don't like the idea of one being passed off as a $400 light.:skep: :D

Check this out.

"You want an Ostar bike light. When this is on, the others are really outclassed. Remember the Super Flashlight V? They are that bright. They are $395 now but I don't know how long it will be before the price will eventually go up. So I sell what stock I have then I don't know how the future will play out or even if more will be made. If you need a light, this is the one. They are unique.

Only the serious apply. My PayPal is xxxxxxx(at) xxxxxxxl (dot) com"

arc mania and i have come to an agreement, his explanation to me of the fiasco as upsetting as it was, i have taken into account and at this point i must say that not only i was misled but he was as well. no where did he say it was his light, i just assumed it was...what they are doing to him on CPF is just too terrible as far as i am concerned, however, Mike doesnt care less, he still does make the very best flashlight out there, i do notice that those having a crack at him, dont actually own any of his lights . Mike, who owns CLF has stated there that he has stopped making custom lights and will be handing them to a contractor to make, as he is unable to survive just making custom lights, his sales, should he decide to continue, will be from CLF and FNF. Those who own his lights will no doubt continue there and i do wish him well.

Honestly, this doesn't look like high quality kit.

The cause and the explanation for this whole situation.

Mike is/was a hotshot builder over on CPF.
Cancel your order if possible. Dispute charges. Whatever...... You were mislead and shouldn't have to lose out.
Having economic trouble is no reason to steal from people you have gotten to trust you.

In small communities reputation is everything. He is done.

On the flip side though I wouild agree that the mod over there is dancing on Arc Mania's grave with a little too much glee.
A good mod should just moderate, enforce rules, and stay out of the mud throwing. The members will handle the public flogging.
I do like how DM51 is allowing credit for uncovering this to be attributed to him.
Sort of like selling a light that you didn't make as your own.:D

folks, everyone is out to make a living, Mike was misled and is being hammered, i have gone over his cost figures and for his trouble he is not making much at all, and for those who dont like being ripped off, my family are major bike importers around the world, now the most expensive metal bike in a container on the ocean, disassembled costs $12. have fun with that one!

Aluminum is around 96 cents a pound.

So average frame about 5 dollars materials.

Mark up on most things is awful.

Now the issue would be you telling people you are hand making this super special frame in your secret shop.
Getting a container of "$12" frames from China.
Scraping the cheapo name off of the frame.
Then selling the frame for $400.
That's just robbery.

They baked Mr. Mike over on CPF. Speculation that he may have multiple handles.

I know he is on multiple boards.

He will probably pop up again under a different name if he hasn't already.
