Wow, that looks neat, but somewhere along the line the idea of "home made" appears to have been lost with kits like this! Even the price (once you include the LEDs/driver kit, housing kit, battery and charger) is getting closer to a fully built commercial light. All that is missing is a decent bar/helmet mounting setup.
Props to Cutter for putting out some quality gear.

Regarding dimensions, MR11 is 35mm front diameter. So this looks like it's about 90mm long. Could you mount two Mars (TM) bars to your helmet? Then you could probably mount this housing...

Agree - this housing is fugly.
If it was 50mm long - then it would look fine.
I'm surprised they did not try to fit the electronics within the al housing instead of cobbling it on to the back

Yeah, final kit looks nice. When will you have them in stock? And will you get the optics in different beam widths, the video on your website shows a pretty narrow beam? And will the bar mount fit an OS handlebar?
Could you also post pics of the rear of the housing, I assume that is where the switch is?

Cheers,
Dylan

Ok we have 75 pcs of the housing in stock now. Its a little dearer than I initially had hoped. One of the real nice features is the face/mount because it is a press fit(complete with O Ring) means it has some leverage(out and in) and as such can accommodate the slightly longer combination of MCPCB and Cutter3 optic. This is now around 17mm as opposed to the 15mm with the Khatod Optic. The housing will also accommodate the new 4 up MCPCB with the Cutter4 optics

In your pictures of the light helmet mounted, the light appears to be mounted on the backside of the helmet pointing backwards. The large sections of styrofoam padding and the large vent holes look like the back of the helmet. That is what I was laughing at.

Get with it man. That's the new style. All the kool kidz are wearing it that way now.
