My Titec KnockPost came in from Jenson today. Its one schweet looking post but it sure is long. Inserted all the way, it touches the housing of the water bottle eyelet from the inside of the seattube and wont go any further. Even pushed all the way down, it is way too high. I have a Dremel and some cut off discs designed to cut metal i.e. steel, aluminum etc.. Its okay for me to cut off an inch or so on the post right? I mean, I dont need a special "seatpost cutting tool" do I?

Should be fine. I just cut my son's bmx seatpost yesterday. I used a cheapo pipe cutter that I got at the local hardware store for under $10, then I filed down the edge to smooth it out. I think a pipe cutter is so much easier than a dremel or a saw when you're cutting...a pipe. :D
