Hi, am after a fun "do it all" 26er steel built around a 100mm fork. I have narrowed my choice down to Curtlo and Waltworks based on price. Curtlo seems to have been around for quite along time whereas Waltworks is relatively new to industry. pros and cons and experiences with both builders would be appreciated please.

2nd the Curtlo

Curtlo has a new headbadge
has been making frames forever
hasnt raised his prices to ridiculous levels
has some gorgeous curved seatstays
besides what was said above, Doug also returns emails in a timely manner which is important to me, and is super cool to deal with. I should be seeing my six inch Ventana rear/ Curtlo front in January(ish.)

I have owned a Waltworks since the beginning of this year, and I can tell you that Walt is an incredible guy, innovative thinker, open minded and a great craftsman. He is also a huge part of the 29er movement. Curtlo is also great, as I have heard on these boards for quite some time, and he is in the game a long while.
To me, if you were going with a 29er, Walt is the hands down choice. For a 26" wheeled ride, Curto may be the man, but I would certainly encourage you to call each of them and see what kind of feeling you get. That may be the biggest part of "custom" in a custom bike build.
