I have a Raceface Next 35 bar that does not come with any markings on how many +/- degrees my bar is current set to.

Does any one know how I can check what angle it is currently set to? Also, would 0 degrees on the handlebar be in relation to the the stem angle or ?

In my experience, those markings are good as a reference when experimenting and rotating a bar up and down to find what your prefer, or removing and reattaching the bar. I don't find them of much use going between different bars. I'll install a new bar and look at it from the side and top, rotate it to what I think looks like what I want, then go from there trying it out and adjusting it to my preference.

If you really want to get quantitative, you can start measuring with rulers, straight, edges, protractors, levels, (phone app) etc..

hard to tell from the angle of the photo. But is the largest tick mark meant to be zero? Given the tick is centered in the word FACE, it seems logical to think that is zero.

The photo makes it look like the tick is quite a bit shifted to the front though.
