Hey all you mountain bikers! Here is your chance to help the trails you love to ride. Join us on Sunday April 17 at Goodwin State Forest in Hampton CT for a fun filled day of Trail Advocacy. The course will cover : how to be a Trail Ambassador; working with the public; designing and building sustainable and fun shared use single track; talking to land managers; working with volunteers; basic bike mechanics; and tool safety. The Trail School ( designing, and building shared use sustainable trails) will run from 9:15 to 3:30. If you would like to take the Trail Ambassador workshop also, it will begin at 8:15. Anyone can attend the Trail Ambassador workshop, but only NEMBA members can be Trail Ambassadors. There is no cost. We will have the classroom portion until 12:30, have lunch, then head outdoors. Lunch will be provided. Please come prepared to work outside - sturdy boots, work gloves, water, snacks. Weather and trail conditions permitting, there will be a ride after the workshop is over. Please contact Paula Burton [email protected] or Al Tinti [email protected]. We do need you to register in advance so that we have a count for food and materials. To register, please click on the link below and fill out the form. Hope to see you there!
