Here's some more "way overrated" trail from CB. Deer Creek this time.
The ankle felt a little better the next day, so we headed out under threatening skies. I was still nursing my bruised bravado form the previous day, so I rummaged around in the bag of tricks and pulled out the smaller camera, and the new baby bruvva:
Deer Creek is a bout a 9.7 mile continuous singletrack that undulates and switchbacks towards (or away from, depending...) Gothic.
This by the way, is NOT Julie Andrews:
I would love to hear a definition of overrated. If something that is very good gets called excellent, does that maen it is no longer "very good"? A philosophical question indeed, but as I worked over these phots, and remembered the ride, I certainly couldn't imagine calling it overrated, much less hating CB.
It was time to head back to life, work and obligations. I packed up the Yetis and headed over Cottonwood pass, and was treated to a freak snowshower.
And down in Buena Vista I was presented a lovely reminder of how lucky we are to be here.
