Creak problem while climbing steep hills under heavy load.

Hey mates, i have some creaking problem, rather than ''bad acord guitar string sound'' kinda... Using Shimano 12 speed groupset (XTR&XT mixed)

it only happens on low gears and under hard steep hills climbing. 33-39-45-51 tooths area kind of.

-i have checked bottom bracket and crank arm area with pedals. Nothing wrong there, cleaned and greased
-checked my chain, i have XTR and XT chain (XT brand new) put XT one, chain size also correct
-checked casette torque tightened it correct
-cleaned micro spline body, put bit of grease and installed casette again (yes casette spacers in correct places, including that small plastic one behind 51t sprocket
-checked freehub body and bearing, cleaned and light greased (which is free hub sound almost gone now...)
-put new XTR&Dura-ACE polymer gear cable, adjusted gears correct with B Screw and high&low screws all correct.

i am thinking the sound coming from my wheel spokes ? sounds like it ? or something wrong with that micro spline body ?

Sound is really like wheel spokes sound, since when i check wheel spokes with my hand, if there any lose, there is not any loose and my wheel is true but you know the guitar string accord sound like, when you check them by hand with bit of force.

Any thoughts ?

Best regards

Sounds like you've covered everything (kudos on the MS body check, people don't know a lot about that one). I'm guessing it's wheel related at this point, likely a spoke that needs attention.
I've had a similar sound from a dirty dropout/axle/hanger. I pulled it all apart including removing the hanger from the frame, cleaned, lightly greased, and it was quiet ever since.

If it’s not the spokes, check your seat post rails.

Checked them, removed seat post and saddle. Cleaned rails and everything else.

i will clean wheel spoke crossing ''X'' areas that clash and rub each other. And lube them a bit, let's see if the sound still there after that.

Oh yes, i am going to clear through axle and put little bit grease to it. Good idea.
I had a similar issue. Turned out to be slightly corroded shock bolts. Replaced new one with light coat of grease and all is quiet now. Sometime things just resonate through the frame….

It is either the cranks or the bottom bracket. Many guys switched to Campy cranks to get rid of crank and BB flexing.
Anyone who says they know what the problem is based on the given info is wrong. Maybe they guessed right but there's no way to know without actually being there and touching the bike.

It could be nearly anything. Seatpost, suspension pivots and bb/crank are probably 3 of the most common causes ime. Often the problem is a torque issue.

Always amusing to see these repeated questions and the internet responses that sum up everything that moves and everything doesn't as the likely culprit.

worn narrow wide chainrings can cause a sound like that

Sometimes I put a drop of lube on spoke crossings where the spokes flex.

I would check the aluminum carriers for the cogs in question. I bet one or more of the carrier ”ears”are cracked/broken.Your explanation sure sounds similar to when I had broke the cogs off of carrier in the cassette. I now replace my cassette every 12 months.
Any thoughts ?
Sounds like time for a new bike! 😃

Excellent point. Just went through this with my newly installed spider/bashguard combo yesterday. Thought it was the spline issue on the back wheel (again), settled in on something crank/BB related when my fix didn't help. Did not even bother going down the rabbit hole further, simply swung by the LBS and got it sussed out.

Oh yeah. I had this on my ebike.
Only on the lower gears while climbing.
Got a new steel n/w chainring. My drivetrain became immediately very quiet.
