Crazy Idea For Fox Forks....

How about a miniature sight glass on the bottom of each lower, to show bath oil left. Would probably only work after the oil has settled. Maybe a vertical line style sight glass? I'd take the weight penalty.

Here's an even crazier idea: better seals that keep the oil in so you don't need to worry about it.

Edit: Another bonkers idea for Fox: offer a 20mm through axle on their 140mm forks. That's something I'd take a weight penalty for.

But... then nobody would buy their 15mm qr system, they have too much $ into that to dump it.
They should make a fork with totally clear see-through lowers :)

Translucent aluminum?
then it'll last forever and they can't sell you anymore
Ohh, how about an ounce of bath oil in the lowers, so you can lapse a bit on service and not kill the poor thing?

I think they're engineered to last 3 seasons.

Another Idea: 180mm Travel Forks.
Rumor has is there's something in the works.

Most forks are now running minimal bath oil, and the Fox32 at 20ml per leg is actually fairly decent. With real seals (either Enduro or Push) and regular maintenance, a Fox will last a very, very long time.

Not only that, but why not a 32 Van with 150mm travel and a 20mmQR?

Why does the Float and TALAS 32's come in 150, but not the Van?
Here is a better idea, perform regular maintenance and then you don’t have to worry about it.
