Can anyone tell me the best place to buy a pair of Mallet C's in NY City? If possible, near by the area of Central Park... I'll be staying there on holidays and don't know what store to go to find good deals on Mtb gear.

You won't find any deals around here unless you go repeatedly to the same shop and get a relationship going...

Mallets are all over the web for $30 less than you'll pay at a shop - why don't you just buy a pair on ebay? They are simple to install, as long as you have a razor blade for shoe "adjustment."
