and so what is your objection to the new cleat design? i just picked up a new set of cleats and found the same ones pictured. no issues whatsoever...
My issue would be the lack of lateral and reduced rotational adjustment. I move my cleats as far inboard on the shoe as possible. These could cause my ankles to hit the crank arms.TrekFan said:and so what is your objection to the new cleat design? i just picked up a new set of cleats and found the same ones pictured. no issues whatsoever...
This is the reason why i loved the SPD system .... less lateral play easy in and out more then one brand of pedal (shimano, wellgo, ritchey, xpedo ... and maybe more)NDEBT said:I talked to Crank Brothers today. The new V3 cleat will become standard. The premium cleat will only be available for the aftermarket. Would be nice if they let everyone in on their little seceret.
Not adjusting the rotational position of the cleat is why so many users complain of the cleats wearing quickly.Strafer said:This is actually no big deal for the majority who really don't need or care about minute rotational adjustments.
I was happier with the original cleats, just screw them on and go, no messing with trying to figure out the optimum location within the adjustment range.
