I was at a local Performance yesterday (gag - it was convenient and I needed some brake cable for a build) and noticed that they had the Joplin on clearance for $79. I'm not sure if it was only that shop, but worth a mention. Springfield, VA shop if anyone wants to verify.

That's a great discount, but that seatpost has major issues. I know 4 people who have owned them, and I know 4 people who don't own them anymore...

Chainlove is backcountry.com based and their return policy is amazing. They're almost like REI but with awesome prices. I kinda feel bad that they actually took back one of my returns that I used shortly and didn't have tags to go with it (stem handlebar combo).

100% satisfaction "unlimited lifetime" guarantee from backcountry.com at least.

30 days for other sites.

I have a 31.6/350 with remote that came off a new bike that I replaced with a Thomson. I have never used it and I never plan to use it.

Just sayin'.

Hang on, I just remembered- didn't Crank Bros just buy out the Maverick Speedball and rebrand it as the Joplin?

The Speedball was reputed to be a decent post. So what happened to the Joplin turning into a pile of poo?
