Found a pretty good sized crack in the rear triangle of my TX1 recently... I think I almost cried. Looks like a failed weld to me. I'm not sure how it happened, haven't had any gnarly crashes. JRA I guess. Who knew that a 150 lb. bag o'bones could put away a frame?
Anyway, Giant wouldn't cover this under warranty because the bike was purchased used. A new rear set me back $200 from the local dealer. Part arrived in a week's time and now I'm back in business, but with a completely different colored rear end... the drapes no longer match the carpet!
