Coyotes at Fantasy Island in Tucson

I noticed there's more coyote activity lately at fantasy island. Anyone else run into them much?

I went last Mon and saw one coyote out there at around 7:45am, I managed to scare it off pretty easily as expected. I went again on Weds and shortly after the halfpipe I see 2 gray things that appeared to be charging at me so I got ready for a fight, but they broke and crossed my path 10 feet in front of me. One was chasing the other, so I yelled at them and one run back to where it came from and the one being chased kept on its route. I've never heard of them attacking people out there, but I'm sure they're used to seeing us and not so afraid anymore. Anyone heard different? I may pick up some pepper spray or a knife to keep on me should any of them turn aggressive when I'm riding solo.

You're fine.

I see them all the time here, and have gotten pretty darn close. I've heard of one of two incidents (none in Phoenix, but just word of mouth), but for all I know it could have been a rumor. Unless you're wearing jackrabbit leggings, you're safe.
your interference prevented that coyote from getting a piece,,,
Haha, yeah that's ground for aggression. Don't feed the coyote and Don't interfere when a coyote is pursuing a piece.
;) I thought your "coyote" was riding a green ss and was carrying an oil can and flask.
Unless you are a Roadrunner Coyotes won't attack you. Let them be and they will do the same.

Now now, culling the herd leaves the stronger ones!
Build some more houses out there, that'll show those Cotoyes and Mother Nature.
