Just came back from a Copper Harbor trip and the trails were way better than expected. On may way up I called a friend that has been there for suggestions and he just said pick one and ride it. You can't go wrong!

He was right. But I did really enjoy trail- The Flow and The Point for a longer mileage ride out to the end of the earth.

There is a great shop downtown Copper Harbor called Keweenaw Adventure Company that was a big help understanding the trails with great personalities. They even have rentals and shuttle services to the top of the mountain.

Check it out, you will not be disappointed!!

I grew up in the UP, but now live in Colorado. Totally spoiled with riding the rockies, but I go back home every summer with my bike to ride Marquette and Copper Harbor. It's just so good! In fact, as I type this, I'm at my in-laws' place in Green Bay on my way to the UP.

FYI, Iron Mountain is starting to build trails. The existing network has some excellent dirt. The area has tons of potential, and now the Dickinson Trail Network (DTN) has a 501c3 set up for donations to build more trails. There's a chance I'll get to preview one of the new trails this week.
