It looks like the weather will be awesome at Whiteface Downhill Park (Lake Placid, N.Y. site of the 1932 & 1980 winter olympics) and in the Adirondacks this weekend.

The trails are in great shape and we should have a good crowd this weekend. Since the trails start 2,500 feet above the base area it's always quite a bit cooler on the summit. Perfect to escape the heat, and there are actually quite a few swimming spots on the trails, even a waterfall you can lunch at.
We will also be providing the courtesy of picking up downhillers in our shuttle bus that want to take an extra long downhill run to the flume at the end of the day (30ft. cliff diving and local swimming hole). Trail no. 20 (lower connector) takes you 1.5 miles downhill bikers left right to the flume. I've never ridden from the top to the flume yet but it would be like a 45 minute to an hour downhill run losing 2700 feet of elevation, it's gotta be like 7 miles at least.
