i actually looked at this listing a while back ago lol...glad to see someone on hear got it. I dig it. I have a 91 Cannondale sm500, the l.l. bean is sort of like the sm400 . pretty much one model below mine. well of course yours is in one piece unlike mine lol. very nice.

Thanks all, I'm prett pumped. I now I just need to convince them that it doesn't have to go "in a huge long box" as they seem to think it has to. They wanted over $100 for shipping, which would have to be OS3, I know this'll fit in a standard box.....

Kyle, shoulda left the pink, not that polished is bad, but the old school pink was hot, you could have gotten some pink housing to set it off, worked with the color a bit....

Just tell them to get whoever 'just pulled it out of the box and built it' to put it back in the box, it sound to me like maybe they are a little disappointed about the sale price and are trying to make a few bucks on the shipping, but maybe I'm being too cynical.

Nah, they listed $105 as shipping, right in the listing. I sent note, asking if I could pay to have them box it, and use my UPS account to pay shipping. He said no problem, but mentioned it needed a BIG box....:skep:

does he realize the wheels can be removed?

Hee hee, they said they were a college town shop that shipped bikes all the time. That said, I have no idea if he's the owner, and has no real idea, or what. Still awaiting response to my post purchase note....

Rarity is more than just how few there are. There's likely very few of the first rolls of toilet paper made, left around, but I doubt very many are looking for it

I'd guess many of these are floating around in garages, with a few dozen miles on them. I was smitten simply with the absolute minty freshness of it all. Doubt if they are that rare, or collectible. What can I say, I'm a typical guy, drawn to shiny objects

What a total pece of crap ! Why do we have to constantly look at these pieces of sh!t ? I look at them all day long and sure don't want to see them here. Just think of how much time it takes me to look at them and then type up a nasty comment...I could be doing something much more important. You are totally wasting all my precious minutes. I wish I had enough smarts to just move on to the next post but obviously somethings lacking in the brain department. Thanx for screwing up my day!
