Well homies lots of us have Kings, and Hadleys, Hopes and now I9s are takin the Nation by Storm but I found out about these puppies in the UK mag rag DIRT.

Supposedly lighter than KINGS Hadleys and Hopes, but still have large flange for strength and durability.

These guys have concentrated on the bearing system and preload saying that it is far superior to the above 3 mentioned, interesting.

Check out website details of speccs in shop catagory, interesting anyways..

They do look hideous though don't they?

Hey there, Fo Twizzle, have you seen these?
Do they come with some sort of cream to clear up that aluminum psoriasis?

Those are the ugliest things I have ever seen.

Better dressed up...

Like any good clothing sales person would say, "they'll look even better on". So I guess once they're laced up a to a Mavic 819 and then have gold Hope rotors bolted to them they'll look pretty cool, yeah?

Or not...
I wonder how many homers will step up and be among the first to try these out then do one of two things:
1. have them fail, then complain, despite the product being new
2. use them and promote them all over the boards until something else comes along three months later, which they will be buying, of course.

Now in black:

Uh, how long did you have that Flux before you got your RFX?:p :ciappa:
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Right tool for the job, remember? It was the color that reeled me in. I didn't really need a new bike. I was motivated by the want of a frame more bling than yours:nono:

no, i have not, but i do love em!

i am in need of a wheelset for one of my bikes and now have no choice but to add these to my list to consider.

tscheezy is sort of my film critic in that anything he hates, i must have; just like the movies that critics love, i hate, and vice versa. Thanks tscheezy! :)

cheers
...too bad the website gives NO info at all about the pawl/ engagement system. That is the first consideration I have when I am entertaining the thought of a new hub.

Burgtec hubs

They had some really good reviews in the mags over here.

I'm really keen to try a pair.

...either way, 48pt engagement is really not fast enough for me. After you get used to a fast engaging system it is sure hard to go backwards.

It's a crappy website. Most crappy websites force you to browse the entirety, even the purchase area, in order to gather even the tiniest amount of information. Stupid, really.

A 48pt, 7 1/2 degree of engagement is hardly anything to brag about.

They do look nice though.
UGI needs no justification.

Watch me as I ignore that comment for a second time.:ciappa:

I searched for the engagement straight away and thought the same thing JNC did. Easy axle conversion is interesting, but with the way 20mm forks are getting lighter I'd probably always go with a thru axle
anyway. Since they're UK hubs perhaps they put a premium on seals...that would be nice.

edit: I reread TA's post they're lighter and supposedly have better bearing systems. Interesting. They seem to have a pretty gung-ho coverage in the field. I'd love to see a service guide that shows what's inside these doggies.

The Black hubs look nice. What kind of driveshell is that?

It appears to be of gold color. made of some type of metal, and also appears to fit Shimano / Sram style cassettes.
Thanks wiseguy... having torn up my Al CK cassette carrier, and knowing the Hadleys use Ti, these hubs would be more interesting to me if they also did not use Al for the driveshell.
Those are heinous. It will be interesting to see which dork buys a camo hub that needs to be shipped accross the pond if it should ever need servicing. Good luck to you.
