Cook Bros. Racing Skewers w/No Logos

Was just curious about some Cook Bros. Racing skewers I have. They don't have any logos etched on the levers like on the other sets I have, or as is standard for every other set I've seen. Any idea why these don't have them?

No. These are NOS and were sealed in the original packaging before I got them. In addition, I have a silver set with the logos.

Its weird. recently i saw a few NOS E cranks on ebay , also without logos..
I can imagine they were some left unfinished stock bought from the Cook Bros after they closed..
Are you sure the packaging was original?

Yes. In addition the levers, having been in the closed position since they were produced, exhibited a bit of resistance when I opened & closed them.

I'm guessing maybe the later models possibly didn't get the etching. Who knows.

Its a pitty. Cook bros racing has always been one of my favorite logos. It looks very good on long tubular surfaces.

I think on some of cook bros anniversary cruisers there are some parts without logos..
Now you will have to polish off logos on your cranks

That seller had some really nice stuff for sale...I would like to see the stuff that he is keeping. I bid 205 on those..i was glad I didnt win. I thought they would go for 170 max. Nice buy regardless.

I'm pretty sure that it was an option that they offered. I know a small "art" frame builder that used to get all his CBR parts with no logos.
