I like the Scott Scale Pro but don't want to go back to 3 chainrings up front. Am I crazy to buy this bike and then swap out the cranks and shifters? I could probably sell the X7 shifters but not so sure about the cranks. Would a set of XO 2x10 cranks bolt up to this BB?

With a light set of cranks and a set of Stan's wheels, it should be a pretty light bike.

Nope, SRAM cranksets are not compatible with Shimano bottom brackets. The SRAM cranksets use a GXP bottom bracket.

I did exactly what you are thinking about doing and put a set of XO 2x10 cranks on my Scale 29 Pro. No need to change anything except the BB and the cranks. The shifters and front derailleur work fine.
