I'm Pretty green when it comes to specifics to the drive train, But I'm looking too convert The 3 ring spocket to a 2 ring sprocket and 10 in the back 2X10, will this be practical for a 2013 trek remedy carbon 9.8, 19.5" frame 26"wheel ?

I never use all three, So would it be practical to convert it ? So save some weight and possibly minimize chain lag ? Also which parts and cost would I be looking at do to so ?
Thanks
Jesse

Easiest way....remove the large ring and add a bashguard - especially with that type of bike. You may well be able to convert the XT shifters to do just the one shift, but adjusting the high limit screw might do the same thing.

edit - is this a current year bike - it seems to have 2x already if the website specs I'm viewing are the same in your part of the world
