Convert tubed to tubeless?

Is it possible to convert standard tubed tires to tubeless. I recently purchased some new treads, and have just been forced to get new wheels due to a hub body finally wearing out. I picked up a set of Mavic Crosslands, but I don't want to buy new tires just yet since I just bought some about a month ago.

You can use standard tires with inner tubes on the Crossland wheels.

I know, but I am wondering if i can avoid that. I've been looking at the Stan's conversion kit, but I'm assuming I don't need the rim strips and all that since my rims are already UST. Do I just need to get some of the sealant? Will that work with my standard tubed tires?
