I am trying to convert my XTR M952 crank to a singlespeed. I have been fishing around the boards for a couple days and saw some great info. The setup I would most like to go with is the spiderless ring, but I can not find the Spot one anywhere and the guys at Boone are a year behind in production and will not even take orders. Does anyone have any idea where I can locate one of these? If not, any suggestions or ideas on how to convert?

Best bet is to get a 4 bolt spider from an old Shimano crank, this opens up the number of rings available. Do a search on here for "XTR 952" cranks, there are a couple of threads from the last few years.

Blackspire makes unramped, single speed rings for the native XTR spider.

I thought the blackspire rings were only for M960 and above, no?
