We went up Snow Summit/Big Bear last weekend just to check out the XC trails. Had Conti Twister Pros on my hardtail. The trails we went on were a bit rocky/sandy. The bike felt rather squirley going uphills, but it had enough bite going down, along with a bunch of nicks on the sidewall. :( I got the pair of tires for free so thought I'd try them out. You guys think deeper knobbies will fix the problem? I honestly thought the descent was going to be a bigger problem considering the lack of deep treads up front.

Please pardon my noobism. :D
