Hey all,

I'm at the "rear triangle" part of my 1st frame project. Wow, so many options and things to consider!

I have some plug-in top eyes I'm going to braze to the seat stays, and then braze to the seat cluster. Any advice on what to do/what not to do for attaching them to the frame?

lugged? sleeved seat post?

I've never done it, but some people groove the seat lug so that there is a little more surface area. It's probably easier than making a groove in the top eye, but you could do that too. I used Fillet Pro on my last bike, it works really well for that.

Thanks Unterhausen, I appreciate it. It's a lugged seat post. I was curious about grooves. That's a good trick, grooving the seat tube - I was thinking of grooving the top eyes, but doing the seat post sounds like a better plan.

Thanks for that Linnaeus. I like the trick where they use a angle iron as a guide for a flex drive shaft, that's neat.

Ps: Eeeesh, not another frame building resource to keep on top of/read! :arf:
