Right. I guess to be more specific, I'm hoping to get out on dirt Wednesday or Thursday and wanted to know if anyone had ridden/had an idea of whether Skeggs or water dog are or will be wet but rideable (ie won't cause too much damage). If not, are there places near there that dry out faster and would be good?
Rode Waterdog yesterday...a little soft in spots but rideable if you can't wait a week...I'd ride Monte Belo if you have the option, it drains a lot better than both and is super pretty right now.
I went trail running at Skegg's on Monday. Only hit ECDM and Resolution, but both of those trails were pretty firm...I was surprised. Lots of downed trees. Some snow on the ground but only on the sides near the top. Just do loops on the upper trails and you shouldn't be causing too much damage.
In case anyone is curious, I rode at Skeggs this afternoon and it was good. Blue Blossom was fairly wet and had its ussual puddles. Steam Donkey was also fairly wet, but definitely still rideable. Manzanita was great (almost cleaned the whole climb -- one tiny dab on the rock wall...so close) and Resolution/Tafoni was good. So try to get out there before the rain tomorrow!!
