What is more important? I'm looking into buying some bikes in Asia and for my money a local brand seems to be more value as the components are much higher quality compared to a major brand. I want to buy 5 or 6 decent quality bikes for the staff at an orphanage I run. They would be used 100% off-road as we are based deep in the jungle. My thinking is that better parts would make for a more reliable bike since they won't need as much attention compared to lower end stuff. They wont be used for jumping or anything just sweet singletrack and old jeep roads

Anyone heard of Polygon Cycles? They are based in Indonesia.

Any input would be great.

Sounds like a good plan to me as long as the frames are of reasonable quality. If they're steel frames you might want to make sure the inside of the frame has been treated with something like Weigle frame saver.
