so i demoed a road bike last week, the BMC Pro Machine, a 6000+ bike.. saturday it was raining and i went down hard around a tight turn at about 18 m/hr. the SRAM Red brifter, skewer, handlebar, and pedals took a hell of a hit. i was prepared to pay plenty when i returned the bike, i was upfront and told them about the damage.... their reply "its a demo bike, dont worry about it." serioulsy awesome response, i was fully prepared to fork it out for at least a new brifter but got very lucky, thanks CC!
