Are the social rides always on Thursdays?

Shaded parking?

I am interested in the Thu social ride. I will be in Idaho Springs for the day (Mt. Evans ride) and will have my dogs with me. Is there any shady parking at the trailhead as the weather will be too warm for them to run along. Thanks for any info.

If the weather continues on the trend that it has been recently, it will be nice and cool for our ride Thursday evening. However, in the off chance that the sun is out and bright and sunny, I would recommend parking at the first parking area which is shady and treed, then riding up to the 2nd lot to meet us. The 2nd lot doesn't have many trees and accommodates more vehicles.. The choice is definitely yours and weather dependent.

Personally I wouldn't recommend leaving your dogs unattended in a park. It might not be illegal, but its probably a better idea to stay with your dogs and have them leashed. It also might not be a great idea to ride while holding their leash with the possibility of on coming traffic. But that's just me.

Tonight's Social Ride Canceled

I am sitting here in Evergreen watching a black storm with lightening roll up from the south. It is pretty, but not the best riding weather. We are canceling the COMBA social ride, but anyone who had their heart set on an Evergreen trip this evening should consider checking out the Alpine Rescue Team benefit at the Little Bear...

We were headed to the little bear but the $10 cover turned us away. We werent going to stay all that long ended up at the rib crib. I have no problem supporting the Alpine Rescue Team for $10. (never know when you might need them) We just didnt think we were going to stay until the band started 9:00 ish. ended up back at sisters for a quick loop, trail conditions were perfect! few puddles, no mud.

We'll have to reschedule the t.i.t.s./ COMBA ride again!

I couldn't even get INTO Evergreen last evening!! Glad you guys had an excellent ride! Let's reschedule the T.I.T.S./COMBA ride again for next month!!?? and Hey!, let's go get a beer and discuss those ideas you've got, k? :thumbsup:
