would a dhx 5 coil make my rear suspension firmer under pedaling in comparison to a dhx 4 air with the pro-pedal setting at it's firmest? I love the plushness of the air, but it just isnt as firm as I would like.
as both the 5.0 and 5.0 Air have the advantage of having adjustable pressure for the bottom out resiviour. Increasing the pressure in the resiviour increases bottom out resistance and and propedal adjustment ranges. More pressure (max of 125 psi) equals a firmer range of adjustment settings. The tricky part is finding the sweet spot where the chamber pressure gives the adjustment range for the bottom out and the propedal meet your needs. But it can be done. It's a great idea as each suspension design is different. In theory the adjustability should give your the ability to set the shock up for virtually any suspension.
If you like the air then stick with it. The DHX Air 5.0 has the same adjustments as the Coil 5.0.
