I have a click coming from somewhere. I think drivetrain as it seems to occur at same point in pedal or wheel revolution. But it is intermittent and only noticeable riding uphill slowly on fire road. I’ve tried pedal standing up and it still occurs, but frustratingly it doesn’t occur when bike in stand. So I assume something to do with weight on bike or torque on drivetrain. My hub is pretty loud, so i can’t be sore but I don’t think it it happens coasting. Even more annoying is I can’t replicate it at home in driveway, it only happens on fire road climb. Please throw some ideas at me, I reckon process of elimination will get it. It’s definitely a click, not a rub or a grind..
Thanks in Advance

@kcw72 Check pedals first. It’s quick and easy, and may very well be the culprit.

I wore out the bearings in the first set of pedals I ran on my Wahoo KICKR bike. It’s still under warranty and I almost returned it last month. I had a click click click at exactly 11 o’clock on the right side. I almost went mad. It largely matched your description of symptoms - including no noise when unweighted and noise still when standing (which likely rules out your saddle). But mine went from intermittent, to a 100% hit rate when weighted, at 11 o’clock.

So so so glad I tried changing my pedals.

Good luck. For me, noises like you describe suck the joy from riding, and drive me even crazier. I am so noise averse these days that I seriously wonder if I need some professional counselling.

I had a click-click-click occurring intermittently. Tried all the usual suspects. Turns out the sealant in my rear tire had dried out to the point that it had balled up within the tire. The "clicking" noise was the hard, dried out balls of sealant rolling around in my rear tire. Weird and simple to fix.

dont feel bad, happens all the time

your welcome!

I like this answer the best !!! I’ve taken off both wheels cleaned and reinstalled, removed brake pads and reinstalled. Checked all bolts torqued and still click today. Just pullled off cranks, cleaned, greases and reinstalled. See how that goes tomorrow. Thanks for all replies.
