Wow, just made it out to Ray's for the first time this weekend, and holy hell does that place rule! It's like a giant dirt demo party, minus the dirt! So much fun! When I first got there, everything was intimidating as hell, but as the weekend progressed, the ladder bridges and box jumps just seemed to get less scary and more fun. Before I knew it, I was just hittin everything. Can't wait to go back!

i'm originally from clevo and went to ray's for opening weekend while visiting my parent's last thanksgiving. the place rocked then, and i guess they've doubled the space and rebuilt everything since then. definitely a good reason to visit the folks again this winter. i was there only 3 hours, but even in that time, my skills and confidence had grown immensely. if there was a place like that in the ny area, i'd be there every week. i've even thought of opening something similar myself.

i was there over labor day and posted for a ride, but nobody responded. was actually thinking how lame it is that this dude went all the way from jersey to check out ray's, and took his time to post how great it was, and not only did nobody respond, but he barely got any views either. what's up with that?

in any case, definitely gonna try to get to clevo sometime this winter. will hit you up when i do.

its only because it got posted here. when you are coming in, post it on spokejunkies.com Its a fairly local site that gets lots of traffic from the regulars. Theres even a Rays message board. Youll get lots of looks over there and I guarantee youll find some folks to hang with.

OH MY GOD I went to Ray's on Tuesday Dec 27th with a buddy for the first time for both of us. Wow it was a blast! Words cannot describe how much that place kicks a$$! The pump track was dope but got kinda boring after a few times. The expert section is killer! you can take this one of several paths. One rolls down fast then you ramp back up on a platform then roll onto a bridge and stop then the bridge slides foward about 4 or 5 feet and it's just amazing. Double teter todders, skinny bridges that shake and swing when you ride across them, killer rock gardens. This place has it all! There is a work stand on the wall and it has every tool that one would need to fix your bike with for free. I bent my derailleur hanger and ripped my cable housing that goes to the derailleur off and the owner used a tool to bend it back and put on a new housing for me for 5 bucks which was just great! Ray and the crew are very nice people! I was worried about running into a bunch of a$$holes there and I didn't. It's only 16 bucks to get in and that includes knee/shin and elbow/forearm pads if you don't have any. At a price that low you can't afford not to go! If you haven't been there you WILL NOT be dissapointed!

Pretty sure we're going back in February sometime, not sure just when as of now. Maybe to check out the contest on the 4th? But the writeup/photos from our previous weekend are up on ExploretheEast.com, check it out!

And now they've got WiFi floating thru the air?! So I can "work" from Ray's?! lol That place RULES!
