Does anyone have an idea how much clearcoating a frame would add to its total weight?

It depends

Depends on the size of the frame, thickness of the clearcoat, powder or liquid clear, etc, etc.

Probably 50g would be a safe bet.

Thanks, yeah I didnt think it would be that much really. I'm in the process of refinishing a frame and I'm deciding what paint(s) to go with.

btw, I'm also in Boulder and see quite a few of your bikes at short track. Pretty awesome rides :thumbsup:

I wil *probably* be out there on Wednesday. Trying to decide if I should save it for the Firecracker, though. I've only managed to do one short track so far this year
